Meet the Conductors
Angus Christie

Angus Christie studied conducting at the Vienna Academy and the Kodaly Institute in Hungary. He was teacher of orchestral conducting at the University of Oslo and conductor of the University of Oslo Symphony Orchestra and the University of Bergen Symphony Orchestra for eight years. Angus has been the LCSO's resident conductor since it's inception in 2013.

Trish Bruggemann

Trish Bruggemann graduated from the James Morrison Academy of Music, with a Bachelor of Music Performance on Trumpet. Her love for music began at a young age, growing up through the ranks of the Portland Citizens’ Brass Band. Since moving to Mount Gambier to complete her degree, Trish has loved becoming a part of the music community as an instrumental music instructor and band leader in various schools and ensembles across the region. From mid 2020, Trish’s condcuting journey commenced as she took on the role of Music Director for the Mount Gambier City Band. Since then she has become MD of the Blue Lake Carols, conducted the South East Primary Schools Music Festival Orchestra, and St Martins Lutheran College’s production of “Shrek the Musical.” Trish is looking forward to working with LSCO for a brand new season in 2023.
