Resident Orchestra of the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre
The Limestone Coast Symphony Orchestra formed in 2013 to provide opportunities for musicians in our community to participate in an exciting orchestral experience. Each year we provide high quality musical performances to audiences in the Limestone Coast region.
Our musicians range from dedicated music students to professional musicians who meet regularly throughout the ten-week rehearsal period, in the lead up to our annnual mid-year performances.
Our orchestra also offers a platform for local soloists, choristers and composers to launch and showcase their musical talent and creative passion.

From Our Patrons
Stan Thomson
Former South East ABC Radio Host
I’ve watched them add strings to their bows, beat their own drum and blow their own trumpets, and I have also seen the region they aim to serve swell with a sense of pride. Other regions wonder just how we did it... i.e. have our own symphony orchestra, well look at and listen to the creativity of the musicians and the committee and you’ll find the answer. Will we see you at our next concert? We would enjoy your support.
Erika Vickery
Mayor of Naracoorte Luciandale District Council and Choral Director
What a wonderful opportunity, not only for the musicians but also for the lovers of music of the whole Limestone Coast region, to participate and enjoy musical performances of a high quality. It is such an honour to support the Limestone Coast Symphony Orchestra and so look forward to next season.
